Kenya's women 3000m steeplechase trio target podium sweep in Tokyo

NAIROBI, July 27 (Xinhua) -- Kenya has achieved two podium sweeps in Olympic Games history, and there are no prizes for guessing they came in the men's 3,000m steeplechase event.

The historic first was achieved at Barcelona 1992 when Matthew Birir led Patrick Sang and William Mutwol to gold, silver and bronze.

Ezekiel Kemboi, Brimin Kipruto and Paul Kipsiele then repeated the feat in 2004 in Athens.
