Danish sailor wins women's laser radial at Tokyo Olympics (updated)

TOKYO, Aug.1 (Xinhua) -- Anne-Marie Rindom of Denmark won the women's laser radial at Tokyo 2020 here on Sunday.

Before the medal race, Rindom enjoyed an advantage of seven net points in the overall rankings. Despite a seventh-place finish in the medal race, she managed to secure gold with an overall 78 net points, three points ahead of Swedish Josefin Olsson, who claimed silver after winning the medal race.
