Slovakia suffers first defeat in European Qualifiers

BRATISLAVA, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- Thanks to a late volley by Marcelo Brozovic, Croatia nipped a 1-0 victory over Slovakia in Group H of the European qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup on Saturday.

It has been the first defeat suffered by Slovakia in the qualifiers, which diminished the team's chances of advancing to the 2022 World Cup significantly.
