Flamengo leave door open for veteran defender Alves

RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- Flamengo have not ruled out the prospect of signing veteran defender Dani Alves, who is without a club after parting ways with Sao Paulo.

Flamengo president Rodolfo Landim confirmed reports the reigning Brazilian top flight champions are considering a move for the 38-year-old, but stopped short of saying whether an offer had been made.
