49ers' Trey Lance nurses minor knee sprain

Trey Lance joined fellow 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo in the trainer's room after spraining his left knee Sunday, leaving his status uncertain for San Francisco's next game.

The 49ers (2-3) are idle this week before returning to action Oct. 24 against the visiting Indianapolis Colts. It's unclear if either of their top two QBs will be ready for that contest.
