The Sydney Rugby Unions Shute Shield will return from April 2, 2022 after the 2021 season was cancelled midway through because of Covid. The 18 rounds will start with some big clashes including Randwick against Eastwood, Warringah versus Sydney University and Eastern Suburbs hosting Norths.
