49ers waive veteran CB Dre Kirkpatrick

The San Francisco 49ers waived veteran cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick on Tuesday.

The move comes one day after San Francisco notched a convincing 31-10 victory over the Los Angeles Rams. Kirkpatrick was one of the team's inactives due to an ankle injury.

The 32-year-old Kirkpatrick played in six games for the 49ers, starting one, while totaling seven tackles.
