Hall of Famer Michael Strahan is going to space

Michael Strahan will make one Giant leap next month.

The New York Giants legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer is heading to space on Dec. 9 aboard the New Shepard, a spacecraft owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' company Blue Origin.

Strahan, who turned 50 on Sunday, made the announcement Tuesday on social media and on ABC's "Good Morning America," the show he has co-hosted since 2016.
