Toronto FC jump Charlotte FC with shutout win

Toronto FC scored twice in the second half to take a 2-0 win against host Charlotte FC on Saturday.

Toronto (9-13-6, 33 points) is 4-1-2 in its past seven games and moved past Charlotte in the Eastern Conference table.

Charlotte (10-16-2, 32 points) lost for the sixth time in the past eight games.

The home side controlled the ball in the first half, with 59 percent of the touches while attempting 10 shots, including th
