Cowboys release WR James Washington

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver James Washington was released on Wednesday after falling behind new addition T.Y. Hilton on the depth chart.

Washington played 15 total snaps in two games with the Cowboys after missing the first 12 games of the season while recovering from surgery on his broken right foot.

Hilton signed with the Cowboys on Dec. 12 and he has five receptions for 102 yards in two games, including four catches
