Sean Payton: Saints want mid-late first-rounder
Former New Orleans coach Sean Payton said Monday that the price for an NFL team to hire him in this cycle would likely be a mid-to-late first-round draft pick.
Payton made the comments on "The Herd" talk show with host Colin Cowherd on Monday.
"Mickey Loomis and I have talked already about it. I think ultimately the compensation for the Saints will be a mid or later first-round pick," Payton said on the show.
