Number of Operation Brookweed arrests rises to fifteen

DUBLIN, Ireland - A man in his 20s was arrested on Tuesday and charged with conspiracy to defraud, as part of the investigation into alleged match-fixing in the League of Ireland known as Operation Brookweed.

The arrest followed a search operation in the South of the country.

The man was taken into custody by specialist detectives attached to The Anti-Bribery & Corruption Unit (Garda National Economic Crime
