Mariners claim RHP J.B. Bukauskas off waivers

The Seattle Mariners claimed right-handed pitcher J.B. Bukauskas off waivers from the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

Outfielder Alberto Rodriguez was designated for assignment to make room on the 40-man roster.

A 2017 first-round pick in the MLB draft by the Houston Astros, Bukauskas made his major league debut with the Diamondbacks on April 20, 2021. In all, he has appeared in 21 MLB games -- all in 2021 -- and is 2-
