Timbers sign veteran D Eric Miller to one-year deal

The Portland Timbers signed veteran defender Eric Miller to a one-year deal on Saturday with a club option for 2024.

Miller, 30, has started 130 of 158 games played for five clubs during nine previous MLS seasons. He has no goals and two assists.

Miller spent the past three seasons with Nashville SC. He appeared in 24 games (14 starts) in 2022.

Miller was the fifth overall pick of the 2014 MLS SuperDraft by CF Montreal
