Sounders optimistic Raul Ruidiaz will return to face RSL

The MLS season opener couldn't have gone much better for the Seattle Sounders.

The Sounders, who missed the playoffs for the first time in franchise history last season, defeated the visiting Colorado Rapids 4-0 even without star forward Raul Ruidiaz, who was nursing a strained right hamstring.

Seattle coach Brian Schmetzer said he expects Ruidiaz to be available for the Saturday home match against Real Salt Lake.
