Caicedo signs new deal with Brighton two months after asking to leave

LONDON, March 3 (Xinhua) -- Midfielder Moises Caicedo has signed a new contract with Premier League outfit Brighton and Hove Albion, less than two months after saying he wanted to leave the club in the January transfer window.

The 21-year-old, who impressed for Ecuador in the World Cup, has agreed on a new deal until 2027, with the club having the option to extend his stay for another year.
