Report: Joe Girardi turns down UCF job
Three-time Major League Baseball manager and World Series winner Joe Girardi has turned down an offer to become the next head coach at UCF, MLB.com reported Thursday.
MLB.com and Rivals.com reported earlier in the day that Girardi had been offered the post. Girardi met with UCF officials on Wednesday, per the Rivals report.
UCF was targeting Girardi to replace Greg Lovelady, who was dismissed by the school late last mon
