Before MLS took a hiatus for Leagues Cup competition, D.C. United and New York Red Bulls did not fare well in their final matches.
A month later, the MLS season resumes with D.C. hoping to strengthen its grip in the Eastern Conference playoff race while the Red Bulls vie to inch closer to the top nine when the sides meet Sunday night in Harrison, N.J.
D.C. United (8-10
