Ottawa Senators defenseman Thomas Chabot is sidelined four-to-six weeks with a fractured hand, coach D.J. Smith announced on Friday.
Chabot sustained the injury while blocking a shot early in the second period of Ottawa's 3-2 loss to the New York Islanders on Thursday. An MRI on Friday morning showed the break in his hand, however surgery is not expected.
