Tigers sign RHP Kenta Maeda to two-year, $24M contract

Right-hander Kenta Maeda signed a two-year, $24 million contract with the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday.
Per the team, Maeda will pocket $14 million in 2024 and $10 million in 2025.
Maeda, 35, posted a 6-8 record with a 4.23 ERA with 117 strikeouts in 104 1/3 innings over 21 games (20 starts) last season. He did not play in 2022 after undergoing Tommy John surgery in September
