Report: Texans sign new RB Joe Mixon to contract extension

The Houston Texans have locked in new running back Joe Mixon with a three-year, $27 million contract extension, including $13 million guaranteed, ESPN reported Thursday.

Mixon was traded from the Bengals to the Texans on Tuesday for a seventh-round draft pick (No. 224), after reports that Cincinnati planned to release him going into the final year of his contract. He was du
