Tigers activate RHP Paul Sewald, DFA RHP Jose Urquidy

Right-hander Paul Sewald joined the Tigers on Thursday for the first time since his trade deadline acquisition.

Detroit activated the 35-year-old reliever from the 60-day injured list, where he landed with a right shoulder strain.

Sewald was 1-1 with a 4.70 ERA and two saves in 18 appearances for the Cleveland Guardians before joining the Tigers on July 31 for fu
