China's outdoor boom turns trails into green gold

BEIJING, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- Ranging from the hiking trails of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in western China to coastal camping sites, and from family-friendly forest adventures to recreational fishing, outdoor venues and activities have ignited consumer markets and spawned new industrial frontiers across China.

More and more consumers are realizing that happiness is only a trail or camping spot away. Zhang Yu, a ba
