Avalanche F Joel Kiviranta (lower body) out indefinitely

Colorado Avalanche forward Joel Kiviranta will be sidelined indefinitely with a lower-body injury, the team announced on Saturday.

Kiviranta signed a one-year, $1.25 million contract Aug. 8 on the heels on a career season. He recorded personal-best totals in goals (16), assists (seven), points (23) and rating (plus-15) in 79 games in 2024-25.
