'Home for the holidays'' took on special meaning for more than 5,000 sailors and officers aboard the USS Harry S. Truman as the aircraft carrier ended its months-long deployment a few days before Christmas. While these men and women sign up to serve their country, the families they left behind also make a sacrifice, doing without their loved ones for months at a time.
