Ford sued by police officers who say they were poisoned by design flaw

Ford Motor Company is being sued by police officers who claim they were poisoned, because of an alleged design flaw in some of the automaker's vehicles. Six Washington state troopers filed the class-action suit on Wednesday, alleging that their Ford Explorer Cruisers have a defect that allows exhaust fumes containing carbon monoxide to get into the passenger compartment. Inclined sleepers blamed in infant deaths still in use despite recall

A non-profit advocacy group found that despite voluntary recalls, some day care centers across the country are still using certain sleepers blamed for dozens of infant deaths, including the Fisher Price Rock 'n Play Sleeper. El Paso grieves after mass shooting: “There are no words to explain this pain”

In the days after the lethal shooting at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, families of the victims are only beginning to heal from the loss of their loved ones. “The whole city just feels broken and at a loss for words,” one mourner said. Memorial services have already begun, but more are planned for this weekend. A new poll shows former vice president Joe Biden leading the Democratic field in Iowa. On Thursday, Biden repeated his claim that President Trump encourages white supremacists. Sen. Police in Springfield, Missouri, said they arrested a man who showed up Thursday at a Walmart store carrying a rifle and wearing body armor, terrifying shoppers who fled from the store. Springfield police posted on Facebook that "an armed individual" was arrested. No shots were fired. CBS News' Tom Hanson reports.
