Scientists are reporting a breakthrough in using immune therapy to treat cervical cancer. Researchers at the National Cancer Institute treated nine women with cervical cancer and found tumors of two out of nine completely disappeared. Why hurricanes with female names are deadlier

Researchers analyzed the death tolls from 94 U.S. hurricanes between 1950 and 2012, and found that hurricanes with feminine names resulted in more fatalities than storms with masculine names. Study author Sharon Shavitt tells CBS News, gender-based stereotypes may keep people from taking the threat more seriously.

Solar Impulse 2, a Swiss-made solar-powered aircraft, made a successful inaugural flight as its makers prepare for what they hope will be the first round-the-world solar flight.
