A week of summer cinema nights
Warm summer nights, free cinema under the stars and a mix of heartwarming, nostalgic and musical films. That is what is happening in Dali from Monday to Friday next week as the Summer Film Festival returns to the Dali Municipal Amphitheatre. Five back-to-back screenings are planned with films for all ages. The cinema selections will light up the big screen at 8.30pm and visitors will be able to enjoy them completely for free as the festival has no ticketed entry.
The line-up kicks off on Monday with the highly anticipated Inside Out 2, a delightful sequel that dives back into the mind of teenager Riley as new emotions like Anxiety and Envy join the mix. On the following evening, it is time to rewind to 1940s Thessaloniki with Ouzeri Tsitsanis, a moving historical drama based on true events, where a forbidden romance unfolds against the backdrop of war, music and survival.
The animation magic continues on July 30 with Moana 2, as Moana sets sail once again on a new oceanic adventure filled with courage, ancient myths and catchy tunes. Wicked takes the stage on July 31, bringing the untold story of the witches of Oz to life in a visually stunning and emotionally charged musical adaptation.
Finally, the festival wraps up on August 1 with a dash of marmalade and adventure in Paddington in Peru, where everyone’s favourite bear travels to the Amazon for a heartwarming family reunion. All children’s films will be dubbed in Greek, making this an ideal outing for families. Just bring your snacks and enjoy the show.
