Dezeen Showroom: US company MeSpace has created an office pod designed for neurodiverse individuals that gives users a high level of control over internal conditions.
The MeSpace worksation is a neuroadaptive pod where the lighting colour and brightness, airflow, visual and acoustic privacy levels, and desk height can all be adjusted as needed.
The interior is created with visual layering techniques to provide a sense of spaciousness, with softened edges to reduce the feeling of being enclosed and carefully angled windows with privacy smart glass that shifts from clear to opaque.
These are features that can make all the difference for neurodivergent users, while also benefitting everyone in the office with elements that are known to enhance mood and wellbeing.
The MeSpace workstation is designed to look aesthetically refined from the outside, with acoustic panels and plants integrated to help improve the working environment of the whole office.
It can be installed from flat-pack within a matter of hours, according to MeSpace.
