US airstrike stopped ‘imminent attack saving hundreds of American lives’, Pompeo reveals

THE air strike which killed senior Iranian military commander Major General Qassem Soleimani was launched in order to “disrupt” an imminent attack which could have killed hundreds of Americans in the Middle East, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has said.
