Leeds to Manchester train line could beat HS2 - major infrastructure boost

BORIS Johnson wants to revive the pioneering spirit of the great British engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel with a new high speed rail line between Manchester and Leeds. The Sunday Express has seen the draft of a consultation on the new Northern Powerhouse Rail which is expected to be unveiled this week.
