20% of dementia carers give up their careers to look after loved ones

A fifth of adults who care for loved ones with dementia have sacrificed their careers as a result, according to a study. Researchers found a further 31 percent have been left with no option but to cut down their working hours to care for their 'nearest and dearest'.
