OpenStack project will benefit from Kata Containers. Nova, the VM orchestration engine can be tweaked to deal with both VMs and containers. Technically, it can be replaced by Kubernetes while preserving other primitives of OpenStack such as Swift, Cinder, Neutron and Keystone.
