Lisbon is delightful, but it’s a shame that so many people’s visits to Portugal begin and end with the capital. Many of the country’s charms lie in the countryside and along the rugged coasts, with their dramatic cliffs and massive crashing waves. That's especially true in the southern Alentejo.
