NAFTA's future is uncertain today, given that Canada and the U.S. did not agree to terms by a President Trump-imposed deadline of Friday. What is clear is that if any ultimate deal requires a $16 wage for work on 40-45 percent of motor vehicles for them to remain duty free, it will hurt you and me.
