Sheikh Hamad al-Thani, of the Qatari ruling family, has just bought a 20-bedroom Napoleonic-era mansion near Buckingham Palace for some $270-million, which he plans to renovate to the tune of $195-million. The house is likely to top out as London's most expensive private home.
