The convergence of sectors within healthcare continued Wednesday with the announcement that Walgreens, the nation’s second-largest pharmacy chain, will open full-service doctor’s offices in up to 700 locations in the next five years in a deal that gives Walgreens a $1 billion stake in VillageMD.
