Lagoa, like Barrett, is a practicing Catholic. But unlike Barrett, she’s of Cuban-American descent and is from Florida. That makes Lagoa the “converts” choice in that Trump might view her selection as a means of persuading reluctant Hispanics and Floridians to rally to his cause.
