Russia did not invite the U.S. or NATO to its Moscow peace conference on Afghanistan this week. But it did invite Iran and Pakistan, which are known to support the Taliban. That was a huge insult to the U.S., which should reconsider whether Russia can really be a responsible ally against terrorism.
