Mike Conley on Wolves sale drama: 'As far as the players are concerned, I think we just are like, damn, that's crazy'
The Wolves then beat the Nuggets 111-98, and it seemed as if the players weren’t bothered at all by what was happening with those who sign their checks. That’s because the players might be a little different from some segments of the fanbase, who are more interested in the details of who said what and what might happen next. Among the team, there’s very much an attitude of rolling with the (verbal) punches. “I don’t think it affects the players as much,” guard Mike Conley said. “Maybe it affects the image of the team, the aura of the team around a little bit. But as far as the players are concerned, I think we just are like, ‘Damn, that’s crazy.’ Then we go back to watching film and worrying about [Nikola] Jokic, Jamal Murray and [Michael] Porter and those guys. It’s a unique situation and it’s something we don’t have any control over. We’re trying to do our job.”

A lot of drama in Wolves land these last two days. None on the court tonight. Minnesota handles Denver from start to finish. The Wolves are now in 1st place in the West.
Conley: 23 on 5-6 3s
Gobert: 21, 11r
McDaniels: 17 on 7-10
Dominant performance on both ends. – 11:24 PM

Dane Moore: The Wolves shot 53% from 3 tonight in large part because the undersized Warriors were needing to account for Rudy Gobert on the roll. Cool answer from Mike Conley when asked what that gravity to Gobert does: “He is the offense. For the most part, guys don’t recognize that. But the gravity that he has from, not even setting the screen, but rolling down the middle of the floor creates a 2 on 1 for us.” -via Twitter @DaneMooreNBA / March 25, 2024
