Fire crews were able quickly locate and extinguish a fire near the entry way that was reportedly started by an unattended candle.

A total of 35 dogs—22 adult dogs and 13 puppies—were rescued from the home.

First responders found one dog that was not breathing, but revived the pup at the scene.

Brandon Self with OKCFD told News 4 on scene that the house was part of a dog boarding business, and that the business owner told firefighters he has been in contact with all of the dog owners following the fire.

No other injuries were reported, and no other occupants were home when the fire began.

The fire damage is estimated to be $33,000.
