TAHLEQUAH, Okla. (KFOR) - Excitement is in the air as competition for 2024 annual Traditional Native Games competition kicks off Saturday, April 13 at the Cherokee Nation's One Fire Field in Tahlequah.
Participants bringing their own sporting materials can expect to see competitions to include hatchet throw, stickball shootout and cornstalk shoot among many more events which will start at 10 a.m.
Top three winners at each location will receive a t-shirt and an invitation to compete in the Traditional Native Games Championship. All games are open to the public and free.
