During the stop, the lieutenant could smell marijuana coming from the car. The driver said he did not have the paperwork for the marijuana, prompting the K-9 unit to search the car.

Officials say K-9 Vito did an open-air sniff and positively alerted on the van.

During the search, more than 25 marijuana plants, a thermos of liquid suspected to be THC, a glass jar of THC powder, $7,600 in $100 bills and a 9mm firearm was found.

After the items were seized, a warrant request was issued for the driver.
