HOLDENVILLE, OKLA (KFOR.) — There's widespread damage to Holdenville after Saturday night's storms. A four month old baby and an adult man were killed. As the weather rolled through, the storms left some running to safety.

"We just started hearing a whole bunch of wind and then my ears start feeling like they're going to pop," said Brian Davis who survived the tornado.

Moment after that, things took a turn.

"The tornado hit and we ended up under the couch," said Brian.

That's when they knew, they needed to find safety.

"We kind of just crawled our way out from underneath there and ran down to our grandparents house," said James Davis who also survived the tornado.

Sunday morning, the two saw their house completely destroyed.

"It definitely hurts more than anything because I mean, that's my house, I've lived there the last four years," said James.

There's now a long clean up process ahead for Brian and James.

Another part of Holdenville that was hit was an area farther north of town.

A neighbor KFOR News 4 talked kwith told us what used to fill a plot of land left empty by the storm.

"There used to be a house here and a family that lives here and obviously you can see now, it's gone," said Colten Madewell who's helping clean up after the tornado.

The community came together across town, cleaning up and salvaging what they can.

"We're going to go out and do this damage assessment. We'll recover. We always have," said Mike Dockery, the Emergency Manager in Hughes County.
