Edmond Police warn residents of bank fraud scam

EDMOND, Okla. (KFOR) - According to the Edmond Police Department, there has been an increase in scam calls targeting bank customers.

Officials say customers have received calls claiming to be from the bank's fraud department, saying there has been an issue with your account. They may ask for remote access to the account or tell you to transfer money into a "safe account".

Edmond Police say to hang up immediately and call your bank directly using the phone number on your card or on their official website. You should never share personal information over the phone.
