Sunbeam assists with 'Helping Children Thrive Campaign' through Aug. 31
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Sunbeam Family Services is accepting donations to assist children across Central Oklahoma to flourish.
Sunbeam officials say donations will be matched through August 31 up to $10,000, thanks to Express Employment International.
“Express Employment International is honored to support Sunbeam’s ‘Helping Children Thrive Campaign’,” said Bob Funk, Jr., CEO and chairman of the board at Express Employment International. “Through a variety of targeted programs and services, Sunbeam can provide the resources necessary to create a brighter future for children and families across our community. And right now, more than ever, we can all use a little bright spot.”
Sunbeam is an Early Head Start and Head Start provider in Oklahoma City. The nonprofit prepares young children for school and life success, says Sunbeam.
Donations raised through August 31 will match the following:
- provide safe homes for children in foster care,
- help grandchildren who are being raised by their grandparents
- support children’s mental health and well-being
"Babies and toddlers are born ready to learn and their early attachment experiences with caregivers wire their brains for learning,” said Sunbeam CEO Sarah Rahhal, LCSW. “By supporting this generous match, you can help us make so much good happen for children and their families.”
Jersey Mike's is also joining the campaign through Cookies for Kids, with 100% of cookie sales aiding Sunbeam's Foster Care program.
