Oklahoma City man sentenced to 20 years for child sex trafficking
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — A 48-year-old Oklahoma City man was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison on Friday for child sex trafficking.
Officials say, according to public records, a homeless female minor was recruited by another individual on September 15, 2023, to work for the man now incarcerated, 48-year-old Marlon Dewayne Martin, to make money using the minor for commercialized sex acts.
Martin was said to have known that the minor was under the age of 18.
“The actions of Marlon Dewayne Martin could best be described as pure evil, using a juvenile victim for commercial sex trafficking and distributing child pornography,” said Donnie Anderson, Director of the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs. “I want to thank the US Attorney’s Office Western District for their prosecution and securing this sentence. And I am extremely proud of the exhaustive investigative work by my agency’s Human Trafficking Unit to get this predator off our streets and rescuing the victim so they could get immediate access to recovery assistance.”
From September 2023 through February 2024, he trafficked the minor by scheduling sex dates for her, which included transporting her to and from the dates, providing the minor with hotel rooms, and collecting the money, according to the Department of Justice.
Martin is also said to have created and distributed child pornography, which involved using the minor.
A jury charged Martin on September 17, 2024, with child sex trafficking. He then pleaded guilty on February 7, 2025, admitting to having rented hotel rooms for the minor and driving her to the hotel to perform the sex acts.
Martin was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Friday, followed by supervised release for life.
