Route 66 boot statue finds a location

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — A large Route 66 red boot is set to be installed at the National Cowboy and Heritage Museum.

The original proposal for the landmark, which was supposed to be located on Classen Boulevard near the Asian district, was voted down by the Oklahoma City Arts Commission.

The new location was approved at Monday's meeting, but the project still needs approval from the Oklahoma City Council before construction starts.
