10-year-old dead after crash in Grady County
GRADY COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) - A 10-year-old child was killed after a Saturday morning crash in Grady County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported Saturday night about the crash that happened near Highway 152, near County Street 2760.
They said it happened around 10:30 a.m.
According to the report, a vehicle ran off the roadway to the right and hit a bridge rail. The passenger, who officials said was a 10-year-old from Moore, was ejected when the vehicle overturned.
Officials said that the driver of the vehicle and the 10-year-old were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
They added that another vehicle tried to avoid the vehicle but ended up being hit by it instead.
The driver of the second vehicle and its passenger had seatbelts on and were not injured.
This is the same area where a major crash sent members of the Minco High School softball team to the hospital in early September.
