Haunted house and fall festival now open at Bricktown ballpark
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — A new haunted house and fall festival is now open at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
The OKC Comets have converted the park into a haunted house and fall festival for their first-ever “Fright Nights at the Field” experience.
Running evenings now through Halloween, the ‘Curse of the Comet’ haunted house takes people 12 and older behind the scenes through the team’s locker rooms, workout areas, and dugouts.
Without giving too much away, you can expect some jump scares and screams.
Some people who went through it on opening night rank it among their favorite haunted houses.
“Do I do haunted houses? Oh, absolutely,” said Jeff Spencer, who experienced ‘Curse of the Comet’ Wednesday evening. “Probably the top 5.”
The team’s general manager says it’s all in an effort to bring people to Bricktown year-round.
“It’s really about making sure that we’re programming the ballpark 365 days a year,” OKC Comets General Manager Kyle Daugherty said. “Obviously, we have our 75 Comets games, but we want to be able to give experiences to families that might not make it out to a baseball game, but they can come out to an experience like this.”
If you have kids under 12, they can hang out at the fall festival open along the ballpark’s concourse with games and activities.
